Ladies Epic Ride (Welsh Mountains)

This event has finished

Meet at:
Abergavenny, Tourist Information car park, NP7 5HF

Our Ladies Epic rides are a rare opportunity to share a whole day's cycling in the company of like-minded female cyclists.

This ride starts in Abergavenny and will take you some 110km (that's about 68 miles) through the stunning scenery of the South Welsh Mountains and the Brecon Beacons National Park. You will have the opportunity to test your legs with about 2,000 meters of climbing. There are two main climbs on the day - but that's what makes it epic!

First, the Tumble, with an average of 10% for 6km is a tough leg warmer, but sets the standard for the ride, hard hills and phenomenal views.

The second big climb of the day is Hay Bluff which starts unassumingly at the entrance to the town of Hay-on-Wye and becomes a spectacular journey over the open upper reaches of the Gospel Pass.

A stunning route, ride guides, car and mechanical support, lunch stop on the road, coffee and cake stop at a wonderful tea shop in a peaceful and dreamlike location and all your energy food and drink supplies is what makes the experience unique.

This is what Le Sportif Epic riders said about us:

Janine said:

"I just want to say a big thanks for Sunday. I wouldn't have gone out on my own in weather like that, and going with you guys has really improved my confidence. Also everyone was so kind and attentive."

And Rosie said:

"Despite the rain I really enjoyed it - great route on quiet roads, with fantastic organisation. Hopefully see you again soon for another ride!"

So come and join us on our Ladies Epic Ride, just bring your bike and enjoy the ride!

In order to organise catering for the day, bookings will close at midnight on Friday 5 August.
