39km lap of Guernsey

The natural instinct of the explorer, when faced with the prospect of a small island, is to understand the lie of the land by circling the island. The natural instinct of the cyclist is to explore.

Lap of the island - Guernsey.

This ride route is a regular run for Pete of Levy Bike Works, based on the island.

Starting at Vistas Beach Cafe at Vazon Bay the route starts heading south west. Turning round the southern edge of the island the route climbs its only real rise through Torteval.

Views from the east coast look out across to the other Channel Islands, Herm and Sark. St Peter Port promenades the route along the harbour front and is a great coffee stop with plenty of choice.

The route laps L'Ancresse Common, the largest single area of open land on the island, returning to Vistas to finish.
