LS20 / Alpujarras Route 2

60km Cadiar - Cherin - Laroles

QR code

A 9km climb isn't too long for the Alpurras!

The road between Cherin and Laroles is typically winding and beautiful. On arrival in Laroles the bar on the left, before the petrol station, has a rear terrace with a view over the climb and the mountain panorama beyond.

Out of the village the road stays high on the mountainside, climbing and descending through the villages. If you still have some push in your legs this is a great opportunity to enjoy it! It's a hard but rewarding road.

Descending on the more minor roads of the region is a test of technical ability and require you to trust your tyres! The roads are extremely quiet and encourage speed and commitment - that's not to say they're traffic free, so it's best to resist temptation and stick to your side of the road.

If you only have limited time for riding then this is a great ride to do, short enough to be achievable, hard enough to be an achievement.
