Leaving Mud Dock the route heads past Temple Meads and joins the Bristol to Bath cycle path, National Cycle Network Route 4. Just past the old station where the route forks there is a turning right on to Route 16.
The paths are generally quieter from here on to Hanham, although the route weaves through houses, under tunnels and over bridges to finally reach Hanham High Street.
Turn towards Bristol at this point and then left away from the busier routes, along back streets and down past Conham River Park. Joining the cycle path next to the river bring the route eventually to the end of Feeder Road, carry on through Barton Hill back to Temple Meads and across to Mud Dock for coffee. 24km largely traffic free!
