Ladies who Ride

This event has finished

Meet at:
Mud Dock Cycleworks and Cafe, 40 The Grove, Bristol BS1 4RB

Our Ladies who ride are back again this month. The summer is now definitely here! This ride will be a good training ride for our second Summer Epic on 17th August (a 110km ride in the Welsh Black Mountains), as it will tackle a few more hills.

As is usual on our ladies rides, we meet at Mud Dock at 9.30am for coffee and leave for the ride promptly at 10am.

The route will take us some 59 km (that's 37 miles) with an elevation gain just short of 500m on country lanes south of Bristol. We will be leaving Mud Dock and heading out of Bristol through Ashton Court and Long Ashton, then out on small country lanes towards the via Brockley Coombe. A beautiful climb on a wide windy road through the woods, up along the airport and down to Wrington. The climbing is offset by some beautiful views across the Mendips. The way back to Bristol will then be through Failand for another hill!

Lockers and showers are available at Mud Dock, so you can leave a bag and change of clothes. There is also a discount at the cafe after the ride.

To come on the ride, you will need a well maintained road bike (not a mountain bike or a hybrid) and a helmet. The pace on our ladies rides is approximately 20km/h on average on a route with a few hills (12mph). But the group is always very supportive and we do not leave anyone behind.

All our rides will be advertised on our Facebook page.
