Whilst navel gazing should be saved for ship spotters, we at Le Sportif are flagrant and unabashed self promoters, this in the cause of the common good.

We’re most grateful to everyone who has helped us through our first season, we want to make 2014 an even better riding year for you! We would also like to thank everyone at Mud Dock for giving us the ultimate ride HQ (showers, food, bling bikes and friendly service), for tireless and meticulous mechanics, and for sharing our goal of providing the best riding experience that we can!

In pursuit of this philanthropic goal we will soon be releasing our 2014 events calendar. There are a few new ideas that you may find tempting, as well as the events with which you may have become familiar this year.

As with all matters Le Sportif the ride experience is everything, bring your friends and enjoy our events or download our routes and explore.

2014 marks the launch of the Le Sportif Mud Dock Ride Club. The club is supported by Mud Dock (obviously), Trek, Bontrager, Cafe du Cycliste, Bay Cycles in Torquay, Dolgellau Cycles in Snowdonia and Spirit Cycles in Buckinghamshire, more details soon!

Our resident racer, Conor Dunne, has signed for An Post Chain Reaction Cycles professional team for 2014 and will be blogging weekly about the life of a pro. To date (December 2013) it doesn’t seem that hard as it’s involved a week riding around Mallorca, but things will change… watch your TV screens for the world’s tallest professional cyclist! We’re hoping to get a picture of him with Quintana.
